Muscle brain or propeoception allows our body to do many incredible things. It allows us to do a series of complex motions. We can do a lot of things with little efforts. We squat, pull, push, twist, bend, throw, climb, gallop, jump and run. Our ancestors did these movements as a way to gather food and stay alive. Our motion is determined by brain, we can do this consciously and somewhat unconsciously. Of course, our muscle doesn’t have brain, but propeoception is an automatic awareness of our body to do motion, posture and various changes. Our body seeks to achieve normal functions. Managing weight and resistance against the gravity can be quite challenging.
Muscle brain is made possible by small nerve centers, known as propeoceptors that are found throughout our body. They are intended to relay information to our brain through the central nervous system or spinal cord. They work along with mechanic receptors that are usually found in joints. Other components that allow muscle brain are:”
At first, we need to do things consciously or voluntarily. It takes a great deal of repetition, by moving our joints and muscles in specific ways. Eventually, you do things with reflex actions at subconscious levels. It’s the same thing with how we instantly move our hands when touching a hot object. Mechanoreceptors inside our body are sensitive to stimuli, which determine whether we can do things smoothly. That’s the reason why you need to move often, if you need to achieve near-automatic movements. Muscle brains are essential for our daily activities. Simple acts like walking are essentially based on propeoception activities. It means that our body can do things in a proper sequence for completing specific acts.
By doing repetitive movement, your brain will be fully familiarized with it. It can process movement much more rapidly with far less reliance with your conscious mind. When you are training muscle brain, make sure that you correct your posture. Look at how you stand and move. It’s like programming your brain to do something near automatically, so you need to input the right program. As an example, when you are playing musical instrument, muscle brain is essential for your level of musical proficiency. If you assume the perfect movement, you will get the best results from your efforts.
