During the detailed inspection of your home, a professional and certified home inspector should examine the condition of the grounds and exterior of the home at first as it will tell the overall condition of the home. The home inspector should inspect in detail that if the grading and drainage of the work properly, and provide evidence if there is standing water or any kind of leakage under the grounds. He should also mention the details about the condition of foundation and siding of the home and condition of the exterior of the paint is fine, or landscaping is perfectly maintained and if there is any damage to the garage, deck, stairs, patio and most importantly the driveway of the home.
When it comes to buying a home, the most important thing to consider is, the exterior structure of the home as they are the most expensive components in a home. And it takes a lot of money in repair and replacement of these components. So for this purpose, the home inspector should be able to evaluate the condition of roof, doors and windows carefully and tell the expected lifespan of these components. The home inspector should focus on the conditions of shingles, exterior vents, gutters, chimneys, flashing and fascia boards. They should give a detailed report that contains the condition of rot, cracks, improper installation and other damages in the windows and doors.
When a buyer comes to visit the home, the most overlooked component is an attic of the home because it holds the most important clues about the condition of the home and it also tells the overall structural integrity of the property that you are going to buy.
